At Meg & Co, we pride ourselves on building exceptional projects that challenge industry standards and exceed expectations. One of the key players behind the scenes who makes this possible is Morgan Shipp, a project manager with an inspiring journey and a passion for delivering high-end, truly unique work. Morgan’s dedication, skills, and human touch make him an invaluable part of our team. Let’s take a closer look at his story, from his hobbies and talents to how he found his way to Meg & Co and the contributions he makes every day.

Morgan’s Hobbies, Talents, and Favorite Books

When Morgan isn’t busy managing multi-million dollar projects, you’ll find him thriving in his personal passions. An avid weightlifter since the age of 16, Morgan recently hit a remarkable personal record by bench pressing 500 pounds for three consecutive repetitions—talk about determination! His love for fitness stems from his time as a collegiate athlete, where he competed in track and field, throwing shot put and discus.

But Morgan isn’t just about physical strength. He’s constantly fueling his mind too. An enthusiastic reader, he’s recently enjoyed titles like Start with No by Jim Camp, 48 Laws of Power and The Laws of Human Nature by Robert Greene, and Dale Carnegie’s classic, How to Win Friends and Influence People. These books reflect his commitment to personal growth and his ability to approach his work with insight and strategy.

Family: A Foundation of Support

Morgan’s family is his biggest source of inspiration and joy. After moving to Twin Falls, Idaho, to be with his now-wife and her young son, Morgan embraced a new phase of life. Since then, he’s become a proud husband and father, with another son on the way. Balancing work and family life has only strengthened his drive and commitment to everything he does. Morgan’s ability to nurture his personal relationships while excelling professionally embodies the balance we value at Meg & Co.

Life Lessons from Morgan, Our Project Manager at Meg & Co

Morgan credits his work ethic and values to the advice passed down by his grandfather and father: “If you’re going to do anything, give it your absolute best effort. Doing things without intention or heart isn’t worth your time.” This philosophy drives Morgan in all aspects of his life, from lifting weights to managing projects.

If given the chance, Morgan would love to sit down for dinner with John D. Rockefeller. Coming from modest beginnings, Rockefeller built an empire through sheer determination and strategic thinking, qualities Morgan admires. The opportunity to hear Rockefeller’s mindset on growing a business into a powerhouse would be a once-in-a-lifetime inspiration for him.

Traveling and Food: Simple Pleasures

When asked about traveling, Morgan has a bucket list destination in mind: Switzerland. He’d love to explore its stunning landscapes alongside his wife, creating memories in a place known for its beauty and charm.

Back at home, Morgan’s favorite comfort meal is a classic combination of steak, rice, and cucumbers. Add in a cheese quesadilla, and you’ve got the perfect way to refuel after a busy day.

From First Job to Meg & Co

Morgan’s professional journey began humbly as a grocery courtesy clerk at Don’s Thriftway in Buhl, Idaho. There, he learned the value of customer service, a skill that’s been critical in every role he’s taken on since. His career evolved as he pursued an associate degree in applied mathematics and later a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Concordia University in Portland, Oregon.
