Meet Ervina Covcic, our talented Project Coordinator at Meg & Co. Ervina’s professional journey began during her high school years when she worked as a Sales Associate at JCPenney. From the end of her sophomore year until her first year of college, she honed essential skills like patience, customer service, and organization—qualities that continue to serve her well today. She also values the friendships she built during that time and remains close to many of her former colleagues.

Ervina first discovered Meg & Co. on Instagram through a shared post, and her journey with us began after meeting Meg during her interview for her current role. As a Project Coordinator at Meg & Co, Ervina thrives on connecting with clients, finding those interactions especially meaningful during key project milestones.

Ervina’s Proudest Achievement

One of the standout achievements in Ervina’s career was raising $63,000 in sponsored funds in a single fiscal year for a community development and beautification initiative. These funds, contributed by local employers, directly supported rural communities. This record-breaking accomplishment left the board thrilled with its impact, and it remains a career highlight for Ervina.

Over the years, Ervina has developed a strong set of skills, including diplomacy, leadership, detail orientation, relationship building, and event planning. These abilities continue to drive her success and make her an invaluable part of the Meg & Co. team.

Ervina loves spending her weekends with her husband, enjoying quality time together—whether it’s watching movies, cooking, or going out for a meal and drinks. She also treasures time with her family, often doing fun activities with her mom like shopping or taking walks. Currently, Ervina is hooked on TV shows like The Good Doctor, the 90 Day Fiancé franchise, and Love is Blind—her guilty pleasures!

When it comes to hobbies, Ervina is an avid reader. She sets yearly reading goals, and this year she surpassed her target of 15 books! Some of her all-time favorite novels include A Thousand Splendid Suns, A Little Life, It Ends With Us, The Stationery Shop, The Kite Runner, and And The Mountains Echoed. While she enjoys fiction, romance, and psychological thrillers, she’s recently been exploring non-fiction, particularly memoirs like Crying in H Mart, Open Book, and Finding Me.

A Thousand Splendid Suns left a lasting impression on her. Its emotional depth and powerful storytelling continue to resonate with her, even years after reading it. She often revisits folded pages to reflect on its most impactful passages.

Ervina’s Favorite Movies & Hidden Talents

Ervina’s favorite movies span across genres, making it hard to name just one! Some of her top picks include A Walk to Remember, Interstellar, Clueless, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, 13 Going On 30, Avatar, Inglourious Basterds, All Quiet on the Western Front, and Unbroken.

Fun fact about Ervina: She has an impressive hidden talent—she can fold her thumb and hand completely flat against her forearm! Also, she spent over 8 years as a vegetarian before recently becoming a born-again carnivore. She’s also left-handed!

Ervina’s Education & Professional Advice

Ervina began her education at the College of Southern Idaho, where she earned an Associate’s Degree in Business. She then continued to Boise State University, obtaining a Bachelor of Business Administration. Finally, she completed her education at St. Bonaventure University, earning a Master of Business Administration with a focus on analytics.

The best personal advice she ever received, and something she was often reminded of growing up, is to choose her friends wisely. This advice is crucial because the people you surround yourself with can either contribute to your growth or hold you back, especially during adolescence.

On the professional side, the best advice she’s been given is, “What got you here won’t get you there.” This has taught her the importance of continually investing in herself and improving her skills to keep progressing.

Ervina stays updated on industry trends by attending workshops and webinars relevant to her role, ensuring she remains informed about the latest advancements. In the fast-evolving field of technology, she understands the importance of staying current. She also finds inspiration through daily interactions with her team and values the mentorship of exceptional leaders who have greatly influenced her growth over the years.

Ervina’s Favorite Food

Bosnian dishes are her ultimate comfort food, especially the stews, meat, potato pies and soups! She also loves pasta!

If Ervina could choose anyone to have dinner with, it would be Queen Elizabeth II. Becoming queen at a young age, she experienced and witnessed countless historical events during her long reign. Ervina imagines the fascinating stories, personal challenges, and wisdom the queen would have shared.

Ervina is Full of Dreams & Determination
