We’re excited to introduce you to Mandy, our talented Lead Designer at Meg & Co! With a passion for design and an adventurous spirit, Mandy brings a unique blend of creativity and expertise to our team. Here’s a little glimpse into her world.

Our Lead Designer at Meg & Co, Mandy, Loves to Travel

Mandy absolutely loves to travel and finds joy in exploring new places and trying different foods. She plans a mean travel itinerary and has Greece and Iceland high on her bucket list.

When she’s not jet-setting, she is perfectly content to be a homebody and you can find her enjoying quality time with her family or working on projects that make her space feel just right. She unwinds by watching a nightly game of Jeopardy with her husband.

Mandy has always loved the novel Les Misérables, and as avid theatre goers her family never misses a chance to catch it live. She is a huge fan of any Asian cuisine, especially her husband’s amazing chicken curry.

Mandy, Our Lead Designer, Is An Early Bird

A reluctant early bird by nature, Mandy often feels accomplished if she’s able to sleep in until 5 AM. As an introvert, she finds herself at a loss when asked “who, living or dead, would you like to have dinner with the most?” Though she wouldn’t mind sharing a meal with Albert Einstein—if only to get some math help for her youngest!

Our Lead Designer, Mandy Loves Pickleball

With her infamous sense of smell, our lead designer, Mandy has a knack for picking up on scents that most might miss, which she has found to be both a blessing and a curse. She’s also an avid pickleball enthusiast, and is determined to improve her skills at the sport.

Mandy’s first ever job as a teenager was at Taco Time, where she learned the value of a positive attitude and hard work, even in less-than-ideal situations. She thinks it truly helped her learn how to face things head on and get through difficulties without looking for an easy way out. She also learned that working at Taco Time was not for her!

Mandy and Meg Go Back 15 Years

Fifteen years ago, Mandy met our founder Meghan Billings at church, and their friendship grew quickly. When Mandy agreed to drive Meg to the orthopedic doctor, the time they spent together helped them to learn more about each other. She says: “Turns out that physically helping someone in and out of a car and into their house is a great bonding experience!” That simple act of kindness later led to a strong friendship, and later to their professional partnership.

Mandy was there when Meg started it all. She assisted Meg with her own home and continued to support her as she ventured out on her own to launch Meg & Co. When we asked Mandy what excited her the most about working at Meg & Co, her response was quick. “We are always coming up with something new and exciting to design and so it is never boring! We have amazing clients who trust us and we get to help them create their dream home.”

Our Lead Designer’s First Parade of Homes

One of her most memorable projects was their first parade home, which allowed Mandy to push creative boundaries. She found a sense of pride in the risks they took within the design of the home. Those risks were eventually rewarded, with new and potential clients feeling inspired by the unique and beautiful choices that she made.

Best Business Advice from Our Lead Designer at Meg & Co

The best business advice she’s ever received is to trust in her knowledge and abilities. It can be easy to doubt your own vision in the design world, and keeping this as a mantra helps her to remain focused on the end goal. Mandy capitalizes on her strengths and isn’t shy about seeking help for her weaknesses, which has helped her to develop her talents and to foster trust with clients.

Mandy has learned from her experience that clear communication and organization are the cornerstones of successful projects. To stay ahead of industry trends, she attends KBIS and continually seeks out learning opportunities and classes to enhance her skills. Constantly learning, Mandy enjoys following others’ creative projects and learning about the challenges and successes other designers find in their journeys.

We’re thrilled to have Mandy as part of our team, bringing her passion and expertise to every project at Meg & Co!
