We’re excited to walk you through our Clifford Project, where this philosophy came to life in a stunning dining room we recently crafted. Every detail—from the placement of lighting to the choice of finishes—was carefully considered to create a room that feels elegant and welcoming.

We’ve installed minimalist wainscoting at our Clifford project, and the transformation was instant. The streamlined panels brought polish and balance to the walls, giving the room a refined, formal look while still feeling inviting.

Traditionally used to protect walls, wainscoting is now celebrated for the texture and architectural depth it adds. It can be crafted from solid wood for timeless durability or MDF for a budget-friendly, smooth finish. Also, PVC offers a low-maintenance option. Wainscoting is truly a versatile way to add to your dining room design. And there are so many fun options to play with: raised paneling, flat or shaker designs, beadboard, or classic tongue-and-groove styles.

2. Source a Beautiful Chandelier

No dining room feels complete without a chandelier that makes a statement. The right piece doesn’t just illuminate the room—it sets the tone for the entire space. Lately, we’ve been loving chandeliers that combine the industrial look of metal cages with the traditional charm of linear designs. The result is a fixture that’s both modern and classic, with a unique edge that immediately draws the eye.

One of the main benefits of statement cage linear chandeliers is their ability to create a big impact while keeping the look clean and balanced. The open cage design maximizes light output while adding an architectural element that elevates the overall design. In this project, we chose sconces with restraint: delicate, refined, and perfectly scaled to the wall panels. They highlight the minimalist wainscoting and beautifully balance the strong lines of the chandelier. Moreover, they add just enough glow to make the room feel inviting.
